In the reign of Ptolemy son of Ptolemy Soter, in year 29, during the intercalary days, under the priest Antiochus son of Kebbas, (priest) of Alexander and the Brother Gods, and with Demodike daughter of Philon as canephoros (basket-bearer) of Arsinoe Philadelphus.
Apollonius son of Parmenion, a Cretan of the epigone, wrote out an oath for Alexander and Archedemus, the jail-guards: “I swear by King Ptolemy, the son of Ptolemy and Berenice, and by Arsinoe the goddess Philadelphus, and by the Savior Gods, the parents of these, that I will present myself to you in the royal prison in Herakleous polis every day, until my release is granted by the one who brought me in, and that I will not depart, being absent on any occasion.
But if I do not do according to what has been written, I will pay the drachmas for which I have been bound, and (pay) the damage as well, and I am liable for the impiety of the oath.”
