English Translation

In the reign of Ptolemy son of Ptolemy Soter, in the twenty-ninth year, when Antiochus son of Kebbas was priest of Alexander and the Sibling Gods, and when Demodike daughter of Philon was canephoros of Arsinoe Philadelphus, in the month Peritios:

Athenion son of Dorion lent to Bilos, a Macedonian, son of Pleistarchos, a company commander, five hundred silver drachmas, at interest of two drachmas per mina each month. Persine (acted) together with her legal guardian Aristokrates, an Elean, son of Pleistarchos, holder of a two-obol share.

And this is the silver (sum) which Bilos owed to Athenion under another contract, which he cancelled for him when this (present document) was sealed.

Let Bilos pay the interest to Athenion each month, and let him repay the principal loan within ten days from whatever day Athenion gives notice to Bilos.

But if he does not repay according to what is written, let Bilos pay Athenion one-and-a-half times the principal, and the interest in full.

And let enforcement belong to Athenion according to the ordinance. And let another person also have authority to enforce on Athenion’s behalf in the same way.

Guarantor of the loan for execution: —demos, a Macedonian, son of Krateros, a private individual.

Witnesses: a Macedonian of the former agema (guard unit), private individual; Jason son of Meniskos, a Cyrenaean; Timon son of Herakleides, a Herakleote; …os son of Anteos, an Illyrian; (blank). Timon son of Timokrates; (blank). …eutios; (blank). (son) of Jason.
