Σιμίας Διονυσίῳ χαίρειν. Δωσίθεος ὁ οἰκονόμος ὑποτέταχεν ἡμῖν ἀντίγραφον τῆς πρὸς σὲ παρ’ αὐτοῦ γεγραμμένης ἐπιστολῆς, ὑφ’ ἣν κατακεχώρισται καὶ τὸ κατ’ ἄνδρα τοῦ προσηγμένου πυροῦ, ἵνα μὴ χορηγῇ ἐλασσόνων ἐκφορίων εἰς συμπλήρωσιν τῆς ἐπιβολῆς τὰ γινόμενα τοῦ αἱροῦντος κεφαλαίου, οἰόμενος δεῖν τὰ συναχθησόμενα ἐκ ταύτης γενήματα ἀσφαλισθῆναι μέχρι τοῦ πάντα τὰ εἰς τὸ βασιλικὸν ἐκπληρωθῆναι. Simias to Dionysius, greetings. Dositheus the steward has submitted to us a copy of the letter written by him to you, under which there is also entered the amount of wheat assessed per man, so that the proceeds of the assessed capital may not supply smaller payments toward completing the levy. He thinks it necessary that the produce to be collected from this be secured until everything due to the royal treasury has been fully paid.
