Translation into English

To the equal honor of the first friends and the general from Alexander and the partners from the village of Thmoinausireus. We are wronged by Straton and Heracleides, both of Draco, the inhabitants of Dionysius, horsemen. For when we were taken, we are to draw from our own vineyard around Thmoinausirin, since they will give to some of us, who are in the arrangement, a payment to each, to the others two, the gathered and the measurement of months by the measurements and the provisions of months by drachmas.
We owe and do not pay back more than what we are demanding, our drawn from those who have been fulfilled. Therefore, we ask you with prayer and they themselves, owing to others, having sent them to bring back the just things to us, so that we may receive the greatest help.

English Translation

To Ptolemaios, equal in honor to the foremost friends and general,
from Alexandros and the partners from the village of Thmoinausiris.
We are being wronged by Straton and Herakleides,
both sons of Drakon,
of the cavalry settlers of Dionysios.
For having been hired to draw water in their vineyard near Thmoinausiris,
on condition that, apart from the measured amount, they would pay
to some of us a fixed wage of 15 (drachmas) each,
and to the other two, 12 (drachmas) each,
and also the collected 99 (drachmas), and a measurement for two months,
at 2 measures each, total 28 measures,
and provisions for three months at 300 drachmas, total 2700 drachmas,
although they owe (this), they do not pay, despite having been repeatedly demanded,
although we have completed the water-drawing.
Therefore, we request you with petition,
since we ourselves owe others,
to summon them and compel them to do justice to us,
so that we may obtain the greatest assistance.
